PROCESS

Distilling your story

Each of our designs begins with a conversation about how you want your guests to feel and what makes your perspective unique. We establish an overall direction with a custom mood board, color palette and keywords.

and telling it through the lens of an event

BAROQUE DESIGN meets the WARMTH of HOME, structure of MANICURED GARDENS contrasted with ORGANIC FLOW, FLORAL MOTIFS evoke SOFT ROMANCE and YOUTHFUL WHIMSY, freshness of COASTAL BREEZE, timelessness of HANDWRITTEN LETTERS, nod to HISTORY through AGED PATINA

During the design process, we consider what visual and tactile elements will have the most significant impact and how to cohesively bring those pieces together. Inspiration can come from something as simple as the type of materials used at the venue, or as specific as a memory.

We utilized the Baroque garden and fountain shape from the venue as a structural motif.  Midnight gardenia (the couple's flower) were combined with petal heavy flowers in a custom illustration and watercolor painted pattern.  To celebrate the couple's storied history, we utilized a verdigris color and a patina process on metal.  Patina, which naturally develops over time on copper, reveals an unpredictable, aged beauty.  The garden motif was furthered with trellis forms on the RSVP card, and later on the custom built escort display.  Gardenia was layered with alpine and sea salt in a signature scent to represent different places of significance in the couple's relationship.  This scent was piped through the event space and gifted as a candle in the welcome gift.
